September Travels

September was SUCH a busy, fun, tiring month! The last few weeks have been full of travel and celebrations. Our first trip was to Northern California. Zack actually went on a business trip to Dallas for his new job and was gone for the week before meeting me in Sacramento for his (former) college roommate’s wedding weekend.

RJ & Zack roomed together at Cal Baptist for 3 years and became the best of friends. Luckily for me, RJ had a super sweet girlfriend that has become a close friend to me over the past few years. We took a trip with them to NYC for New Years Eve in 2014. Their story is similar to ours; two high school sweethearts who were now getting married! We were so thrilled to be there to witness what was a perfect day. Emily was seriously one of the most gorgeous brides I have ever seen. Her hair, her dress, and the overall joy she exuded that day was just beautiful. We had such a great time celebrating them as Mr. & Mrs. & were so grateful to be there!! Here are some pictures from that weekend:

We were home for 4 days before it was time to hop on another plane to go to Michigan to visit Zack’s family. Every year, his cousins/aunts/uncles travel several hours to northwest Michigan to the cutest town called Leland. They all stay in the same lodge and spend the whole weekend running around town together. His family has had the tradition of traveling up north and staying in the town every September for almost 40 years. Leland is a fishing town, filled with the cutest little stores, coffee shops, houses, and a gorgeous beach that looks like a scene that a Nicholas Sparks book would take place on. This year, Zack’s family secretly put together the sweetest SURPRISE engagement celebration for us. The room was full of sweets, family & had a coffee + beer theme (clever-ly planned from this picture from instagram!).  I have always really valued family and it was always important to me to find a husband who had a close-knit family too… and let me just say — Zack’s is a total answer to prayer. I am soo blessed and EXCITED to marry into this family!!

Here are some pictures of our time in Michigan! Already looking forward to going back  ♥
